  • Spinal Stenosis: Narrowing of the spinal canal, which can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.
  • Osteoarthritis: The breakdown of cartilage between the vertebrae, leading to pain and stiffness.
  • Scoliosis: Abnormal curvature of the spine.
  • Ankylosing Spondylitis: A type of inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects the spine.
  • Injuries: Fractures, sprains, or strains due to accidents or trauma.
  • Poor Posture: Long-term improper alignment of the spine due to habits such as slouching.

Treatment for back pain depends on its cause and severity. It may include rest, over-the-counter pain medications, physical therapy, hot or cold therapy, exercises to strengthen muscles, and in some cases, surgery.
